Easily accessible from downtown Cincinnati, I-75 and I-71, the Carnegie is an essential element in the city-center fabric of Cincinnati and Covington.
Built in 1904 as a Carnegie Library and renovated in 2006, the multi-purpose building houses the Carnegie Galleries, the beautiful Otto Budig Theatre and the Eva G. Farris Education Center. The Carnegie features ample free parking, a rarity with urban venues.
Holding 447 for live performances, theatre seating is limited to 350 for cinema, providing excellent sightlines from the main floor and center balcony. The renovation included comfortable seating with generous leg room and a new sound system. For high definition cinema screenings, Cincinnati World Cinema provides a high-resolution wide-screen digital projector, high-end Oppo playback/signal processor and a matrix switcher.

Those using the Roebling Suspension Bridge have an easy trip -- the bridge dumps into Scott Blvd. (one-way South) and the Carnegie, spanning the block between Scott and Greenup at Robbins Street, is only minutes away. The return is just as easy -- up Greenup Street (one-way North) directly to the Suspension Bridge. Couldn't be more simple or convenient!
People living downtown or otherwise using public transportation can take the Southbank Shuttle from Downtown Cincinnati into Covington and then walk or ride TANK buses 8, 9 or 33 to the theatre.
