The Perfect Host was selected as the opening night feature at the USA Film Festival in Dallas, and the following is a condensation of the D Magazine interview with David and director Nick Tomnay.

D: This is your first feature-length film, but I noticed you had a short in 2001 called The Host. Is this a spin-off? Tell me how the idea for the story came about.

In writer-director Nick Tomnay's feature film debut The Perfect Host, actor David Hyde Pierce portrays Warwick Wilson, a perfectionist preparing for a lavish dinner party that ends up being crashed by a bank robber on the run. There is much more to Warwick than just a mild-mannered dinner host, and a devilishly demented game of cat and mouse begins between these two strangers with many surprising twists and turns for audiences along the way.

Bio: David Hyde Pierce

Emmy and Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce was born in 1959 in Saratoga New York. He graduated from Yale University with a double major in Theatre Arts and English; started his career in New York City and now lives in Los Angeles.
